PRX-T33 is a facial peeling procedure based on the well-known trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel. TCA is one of the most popular peeling treatments, as it is a non-toxic chemical which causes the top layer of cells to dry up and peel off the skin.
The skin is prepared with mild cleanser, rinsed and dried thoroughly. Around 2 ml of the facial peeling solution is applied per area, by manual deep facial massage. This is repeated 2-5 times (usually 3), on each area of the face / neck / décolletage.
The solution is then massaged firmly until it is absorbed and a palpable or visible elasticity is observed. Moisturiser can be applied and SPF should be worn to protect against free radicals in the environment. The peel penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, without damaging the outer surface.
You get all the benefits of the TCA (trichloroacetic acid) without the downtime. TCA removes the layers of dead cells whilst stimulating the skin to produce new cells to give a smoother more youthful looking appearance.
