Safety and suitability

This treatment may not be suitable if you are
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Currently experiencing an active skin infection, cold sore or significant breakout in the treatment area
- Prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring
- Taking isotretinoin, or have done so within the last six to twelve months
- Living with a condition that affects wound healing, such as poorly controlled diabetes or certain autoimmune conditions
Possible side effects
- Redness and swelling for several days, similar to a moderate sunburn
- Small, dark micro crusts on the treated area that flake away naturally within around a week
- Temporary changes in pigmentation, more likely if aftercare and sun protection advice is not followed
- Rarely, infection or scarring if aftercare advice is not followed
